Nigeria and India agreed on Sunday to enhance cooperation between them in the areas of maritime security and intelligence. The agreement came during a meeting between the defense ministers of Nigeria and India, where the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in these sensitive matters.
In this context, both parties emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the two countries to combat maritime security threats and share intelligence information. The Indian side praised Nigeria's efforts in enhancing regional maritime security, expressing readiness to support them in this area.
On his part, the Nigerian defense minister reiterated his country's commitment to strengthening cooperation with India in the fields of defense and security. He expressed gratitude to India for its readiness to support Nigeria in addressing the security challenges it faces.
