Nigeria's Christian Association revealed on Friday evening that a kidnapping at St. Mary's Catholic school in central Nigeria, the second in the country in a week, involved 227 pupils and teachers. Daniel Atori, a spokesperson for the National Association of Students, told AFP that the pupils abducted in the middle of the night included both boys and girls, contrary to an earlier report that only girls were taken. Nigerian authorities have not yet announced the number of victims, noting that 'during the terrorist attack, some students managed to escape.' The association stated in a bulletin: 'According to our information, terrorists abducted 215 pupils and 12 teachers' at this school located in Niger State.
