A minimum of 11 Nigerian soldiers were killed as a result of an attack by armed fighters on a military base in the state of Yobe in the northeast of the country.
According to reports, the attack occurred during the visit of an army commander to the region. The fighters struck the base while there were servicemen present. As a result, at least 11 soldiers were killed.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and an investigation into the incident has begun.
