Driver who caused Anthony Joshua's accident arrested

The Ogun State Police, Nigeria, has confirmed the arrest of Kayode Adeniyi, who was driving the Lexus carrying former world heavyweight champion Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua and two of his coaches before they were involved in a fatal accident in the Danco area of the Lagos-Ibadan highway on Monday, December 29. Oluseyi Babaseyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, revealed the arrest of Kayode Adeniyi, who was at the wheel of the crashed vehicle. The statement partly reads: "The driver of the Lexus involved in the Anthony Joshua accident is in custody." Khay reacted: "The arrest and ongoing investigations are the bare minimum after an incident that changed lives. What people want now are not routine statements, but transparency, accountability, and justice without an emotional approach." Recall that the two-time former heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, December 29, in which two of his close associates and team members were killed. Kayode Adeniyi, the driver of the Lexus involved in the fatal accident that injured Anthony Joshua and killed Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, must be prosecuted for reckless driving, while the driver and owner of the parked van with which the Lexus collided must be identified and prosecuted.
