Lagos hosts first-ever street art festival

The bustling streets of Lagos, Nigeria, have been transformed into an exhibition of bold and vibrant graffiti with the city hosting its first-ever street art festival. The event, «Legendary Lagos: City of Dreams,» features 12 artists—nine from Nigeria and three from other countries—who are creating large-scale murals throughout the city. According to the organizers, the goal is to make art accessible to everyone and to inspire social change. «We believe that art should not be confined to galleries and museums,» said one of the organizers, Osa Seven. He added, «Public art allows people to interact with creativity in their daily environment.» Lithuanian artist Andrius Adno said his mural, «Rhythm of Lagos,» reflects the city's vitality. Local artist H.K. Lux focused on the themes of unity and migration, portraying Lagos as a melting pot where races and ambitions converge.
